Moving Stills: Kadir van Lohuizen

Award winning photojournalist Kadir van Lohuizen travels the world in search of stories about people who left their place of birth.

In Moving Stills (2013) we meet Van Lohuizen at the end of a long journey on the Pan-American Highway. He has come to the north of Alaska to photograph the controversial oil fields and the workers who have come from as far away as Guatemala to work there. On the other side of the world, climate change takes him to an island near Papua New Guinea, where rising sea levels have now produced climate refugees.

Moving Stills is a co-production between Viewpoint Productions, NTR Television and the Dutch Cultural Media Fund.

Written and directed by Tinus Kramer.
